Fantastic BBQ offering flexible cooking. It will take two of you to assemble
Fantastic BBQ - such a versatile cooking tool, it is the only product on the market that has everything; off set smoker, side burner, adjustable charcoal tray height etc. If you buy the Griddle set it becomes even more versatile; you can cook almost every meal on it and I haven't used my hob or oven for weeks.
When you order the main BBQ it comes with only one warming rack (you can fit to either side, the instructions tell you to fit it to the gas side) however, you can purchase an additional warming rack from the 'spare parts' section (part L), to add to your charcoal side to further increase cooking/warming space.
It cooks food fantastically- the gas side heats up very quickly. Make sure you pay attention to the instructions! Only the middle gas burner has an igniter so must be ignited first. The other sides take a few seconds to ignite after turning the gas on, as it has to catch from the middle burner.
It is not 'difficult' to assemble but it will require two people, it would be hard with one. I would suggest following the instructions and pictures carefully as there are fiddly bits. Total time to assemble was about 1.5 hours. I would suggest using a small handheld drive ratchet with a flexible Flexi-Socket Extension Bar (and the appropriate Philips or Posidrive head) to help get into the hard-to-reach places that a rigid screwdriver would struggle the reach.
Make sure you clean the grill grates with hot soapy water and wipe the inside of the lids down, then seasons the grill grates with rapeseed oil and heat it up to a high temperature (ideally both sides) with no food in - this will ensure any residual oils/wax during manufacture are burnt off before cooking.
